Trident Technical College (TTC) has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting (COA) by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for its fiscal year 2024 Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR).

The COA is the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting. It is presented to government entities that publish comprehensive annual financial reports that are not only well-organized and easily readable but also go beyond the minimum requirements of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Recipients must demonstrate a strong commitment to transparency, full disclosure and legal compliance in their financial reporting.

“This award is a direct reflection of the dedication, teamwork and year-round effort of our Finance department,” said Gamellia Davis, finance director at Trident Technical College. “Their commitment to excellence ensures that our financial practices remain transparent, accountable and aligned with the highest standards in public finance.”

The GFOA, which serves more than 25,000 government finance professionals across the United States and Canada, established the COA program in 1945 to promote excellence in financial reporting and to encourage governments to communicate their financial stories clearly and effectively.
